Booster Club meeting minutes Tues Feb 2, 2010

Meeting was held at Brasher Falls Elem School.

Date for the TRIBS Swim a thon set for Monday Feb 22, it was discussed for convenience to have the event at Maxcy pool in Potsdam. All parents are encouraged to attend and help their swimmers count the lengths they swim. We will have water available and various snacks for the swimmers. The time for the event is from 4-6pm. This date gives the swimmers extra time to get out and get pledges during the week inter break.

It was discussed to have a Spaghetti dinner fundraiser. We would need to find a location

School cafeterias were discussed as an option. We would need several volunteers to help organize and run. Any interested parents please contact Coach Josh.

We would like to form committees for fund raising, team activities and club support. One of the main objectives for the booster club is to allow coaches to coach swimming and the parents support the team. The team as it grows will continue to need more supplies and cost for pool rentals and staff will rise. Any help from parents will be greatly appreciated.

We also would like to order parent shirts for the swim meets and encourage all the parents to try and sit together as a team. The team has a banner and the color coordinated shirts would make it easier for the swimmers to spot us in the crowd.

Some other ideas that were discussed were setting up food booths at Canton’s dairy princess carnival, selling car wash packets, sending articles to the local newspapers to highlight the team’s activities and meets results.

The booster club needs help from parents. Please come to the next meeting Monday Feb 15 at 5:00pm at Brasher Falls. Thank you for your support
