Q. Is there a difference between Sr. Group and Sr. Competitive?

A. Yes. We are expanding our programs. Sr. Group is anyone over the age of 13 no matter swimming background that wants to improve technique but not compete. Sr. Competitive Group would be those on the traveling team who endure intense training sets to improve goals.

Q. Does my child/ or do I have to compete?

A. Competition is an individual choice that originates from creating goals at any age or level. Talk to your coach about appropriate goals for you and/or your swimmer. Any swimmer can compete at most invitational meets. Check swim meets for events in your swimmers age category. Categories include: 8 and under, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, Open, and Masters. Competition is encouraged as a measurement of improvement but is not the only qualitative way to measure success for Club Members.

A. Swimming is a life-long activity with incredible health benefits for any one. Any swimmer joining practices must be registered with USA swimming. The level at which you participate is a personal choice. Several options are available between the casual and the serious competitor.
